Hello Roosevelt Parents!
Lunchtime Activities is an easy and fun way to volunteer at Roosevelt. You can choose the activity you enjoy most: Arts & Crafts, Games, LEGO or something new or you can spend time with students in the tranquil Serenity Garden.
When – 11:30 am – 1:15 pm * Lunch recess is 11:45 am – 1:00 pm
Location 1 – Picnic tables by the 9th street gate (The Big Yard – Grades 1-5)
Location 2 – The Serenity Garden
The children love to have something new and different to do at recess. They will be thrilled to see you! Thank you for considering one day or several days. The following items are available:
Arts and Crafts Supplies and Tools: Paper and Cardstock – Glue Sticks – Shape and School Scissors, Markers, Crayons, Colored Pencils – Specific Crafts: decorate a bag, make banners,bookmarks, cards for patients at CHLA, blank cards for holidays
Games: Trouble – Jenga – Apples to Apples Jr. – Connect 4 – Jumbo Jenga – Yahtzee – Checkers
LEGO: Bins of LEGO – Building Plates – LEGO design books
LEGO is available for Main Yard only. LEGO is currently being supervised by Tanya Willanger on Mon. and Thursdays

Parent volunteers at Roosevelt are required to complete all 3 of the following: Cool Tools Training, Olweus Anti-Bullying Training (Stand By Me), and a completed and signed Volunteer Form (TB test questions).
