Secure Campus Access

Important Secure Access Campus Information!

2019 Secure Access Begins August 26th at morning drop off!

If you are new to our school, or just need a refresher, Roosevelt is a Secure Access school in the morning at Drop Off.  This means that you can drop your child off at the Lincoln gate, 9th St. gate, or the Montana Kindergarten Yard gate as early as 8:00 a.m. There is a gate monitor at each gate to greet your child and assure their safe entry onto school grounds. The Big Yard and Kindergarten Yard are staffed with campus monitors and volunteer staff. They all wear an orange vest and ID badge so our students can easily identify the supportive adult if they need help with anything. Please do not drop your child off before 8:00 a.m.!  There is NO adult yard supervision before 8:00 a.m.

Students derive great benefits from arriving at school early!

The 8:00 a.m. start provides time for your child to develop independence, social skills, and have some physical activity before school starts at 8:30 a.m. Last year, several of our parent volunteers organized kickball games, handball games, etc. and our students enjoyed spending time with friends and having some physical activity before school started!  I hope you’re able to take advantage of this valuable window of time before school starts in the morning!

Secure Access Drop Off: TK-Kindergarten Parents/Guardians

Secure Access Drop Off for TK/Kindergarten will begin September 9th. However, you are welcome to ease your child into the routine of saying good bye at the Montana Kindergarten gate any time before Secure Access begins on September 9th.
